Update 1/18/xxxx: He is a happy, funny, busy little guy who loves pets and belly rubs. He is a total snuggle bug. Today when I was holding him he laid his head on my shoulder and buried his face in my neck. He is confident and outgoing with a special skill at spotting an opportunity to get attention. He is progressing in his housemanners. His whole personality/outlook on life is amazing considering the condition he came in two months ago. He will be a joy to whoever is fortunate enough to adopt him.
HEALTH: Charlie arrived in poor condition but is now up to a healthy weight. He has a heart murmur, but does not require medication for treatment at this time. He is current on all vaccinations, dental, micro-chipped & neutered.

These folks here want me to have a special loving home so you will need to provide personal and vet references as well as have a home visit before I can come and live with you. My adoption donation is $200.00, and personally I think I'm worth every penny.
Due to assessment evaluation, they would like me to stay in foster care for a minimum of 2 weeks to help me get ready for my new family. I will be allowed to travel out of state so don't be afraid to ask about me (please note: we must follow the airline restrictions on temps so please be aware of that, any costs associated with travel will be your responsibility). ADOPTION DONATIONS: Adoption fees support the process of preparing all of our dogs for their forever homes. LAC provides quality vetting service including spay/neuter, vaccinations, dentals, when appropriate, healthy grooming habits, and basic training for living in family settings. By fostering them in our homes, we are able to advocate for what the dogs need whether that is a soft pillow and quiet, calm hands for companionship or a fun and busy place, with walks and toys. Matching the life style of the household to the needs of the animal insures everyone is happy and expectations are met. If needed, we provide transition counseling for the adopter and always will take the dog back into rescue if something changes in the living situation. When you see the adoption donation amounts, we'd like you to know that 90% of the time the donation amount doesn't even come close to covering our kid's doctor bills. This is definitely not a money-making venture. We're usually so far in the hole but the important thing is to get these kids the medical care they need and help them find the perfect family. That's our top priority.
